{"id":10358,"date":"2022-04-18T10:32:40","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T14:32:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.spartasystems.com\/?post_type=resources&#038;p=10358"},"modified":"2022-09-21T11:41:01","modified_gmt":"2022-09-21T15:41:01","slug":"supplier-management-experts","status":"publish","type":"resources","link":"https:\/\/www.spartasystems.com\/resources\/supplier-management-experts\/","title":{"rendered":"Sparta Experts Present Their Insights on Digital Quality Transformation and Supplier Management"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On March 30th and 31st, Sparta Systems, A Honeywell company, was a proud platinum sponsor of the 5th Annual European Medical Device and Diagnostic Supplier Quality Management (SQM) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medtechquality.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">conference<\/a> in Brussels, Belgium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference brought together professionals in the areas of product and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spartasystems.com\/supplier-quality-management-software\/\">supplier quality management<\/a>.\u00a0 Attendees were given the opportunity to learn best practices and techniques in both areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sparta team had two of its experts on hand to present their knowledge in both quality and supplier management as well as to host two of the roundtable workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s look into the presentations of both Sparta\u2019s Product Advisor QA\/RA Life Sciences, Zillery Fortner, and Fabrizio Maniglio, Senior Solutions Engineer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strength in Numbers: How Digital Collaboration is the Key to Supply Chain Visibility and Continuity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zillery Fortner\u2019s goal was to provide attendees with the knowledge and resources they need to either start, continue or review their supplier quality system and to leave each attendee with an a-ha! moment on the best ways to improve their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spartasystems.com\/resources\/medical-device-supplier-quality\/\">supplier quality system<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this session, Fortner discussed the downfalls of taking a traditional approach to supplier management, or in the mindset that often comes with it: \u201cwe have always done it this way.\u201d Additionally, a one-size-fits all approach is not conducive to an effective supplier management process. Challenges to effective supplier management include a lack of visibility, technological gaps and organizational culture, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Session attendees learned how to mitigate these challenges, understand supplier gaps and conduct an effective supplier qualification process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Capitalizing on the Perfect Storm for Digital Quality Transformation in Medical Device<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disruption is becoming more frequent and severe. During his session, Fabrizio Maniglio provided attendees with insight into how to plan for rare\u2014or black swan\u2014events. Attendees learned why embracing and adopting new technologies and ways of working can make the difference between success and failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maniglio discussed how increasing complexity has affected how <a href=\"https:\/\/info.spartasystems.com\/HCLS-HCE-20-WP-Data-DrivenApproachtoRiskManagement-WEB_LP-Form.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">risk management<\/a> is conducted, particularly for rare events that carry large consequences.
